Another Great Auction 6th November
A pair of standing English brass and wood barley twist candlesticks, circa 1900. Each candlestick features a flared brass bobeche and cup, surmounting a short, turned brass column, which transitions to a central shaft of dark, polished wood carved with a distinctive barley twist or spiral fluted design. The wooden shaft is flanked by brass bands and rests on a round, stepped brass base. No visible text, maker’s marks, or other inscriptions are apparent on any surface.
