Another Great Auction 6th November
A group of 5 mechanical pocket watches, primarily featuring brands such as Smiths and Empire, likely dating to the early to mid-20th century. The watches feature primarily silver-tone metal cases, with one exhibiting a gold-tone finish, and various dial styles. Visible brands include ‘INGERSOLL,’ ‘SMITHS,’ and ‘EMPIRE,’ with ‘MADE IN BRITAIN’ and ‘SWISS MADE’ also present on some dials. One watch’s movement is exposed, displaying brass components and an inner case marked ‘MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN.’ The exterior of another case bears a handwritten ’72.’
