Another Great Auction 6th November
This collection comprises 15 individual antique watch dials, many of which retain portions of their movements or cases. The majority feature white enamel or porcelain faces with black Roman numeral hour markers, some with blued steel or gilt hands, and all include a subsidiary seconds dial at the 6 o’clock position. One dial distinctly displays black Arabic numerals. Visible markings include “TIMOTHY BAKER,” “Improved Patent,” “JNO FREEMAN LONDON,” “Stewart Dawson & Co LIVERPOOL,” “AMERICAN WATCH CO.” (partially visible), “HENRY TOUCHON,” and “SLATER’S MILLION SWISS MADE” (with “SWISS MADE” also visible on other dials). These items are consistent with a late 19th to early 20th-century period.
