Another Great Auction 20th November
A pair of Border Fine Arts cast resin figurines. The first depicts a brown and cream-colored mouse standing upright on an apple core atop a cluster of small, light-colored stones, bearing the visible markings “Ayres” and “© 1980” on its base. This figurine is identified as ‘Mouse on Apple Core’ by Ray Ayres. The second figurine features a green and tan-colored mouse seated amidst a cluster of dark, rounded objects resembling grapes or olives, holding a small item in its paws, with the base marked “BFA SCOTLAND” and “© 1989”. Both items are crafted from cast resin or a similar composite material and hand-painted in naturalistic tones.
