Another Great Auction 20th November
A group of three mid-20th century costume brooches. The lot includes a heart-shaped brooch attributed to Schiaparelli, crafted in darkened base metal with a foliate wreath design, pavé-set with a mix of light blue, dark blue, and iridescent (Aurora Borealis effect) faceted rhinestones. Also present is a silver-toned metal brooch featuring an intricate feather or foliate design, pavé-set with numerous small, dark, faceted stones, likely marcasites, and includes an attached chain and dangle element. The third brooch is a darkened openwork metal piece, circular in form, detailed with thistle-like motifs surrounding a prominent, central, large, domed, opaque yellow-orange cabochon stone. No visible manufacturer’s marks or discernible text are present on any of the pieces.
