A vintage lidded box crafted from serpentine stone, adorned with a bronze lizard appliqué. The rectangular box is made from a dark green, variegated stone, exhibiting a polished finish and natural veining throughout. It is elevated on four ornate, scrolled feet, likely cast bronze. The lid features a detailed bronze figural appliqué depicting a lizard or salamander. The bronze elements display an aged patina. No visible manufacturer’s marks or inscriptions are apparent. Similar examples in the market have been identified as Russian Jasper.
