Another Great Auction 20th November
A ‘The World of Beatrix Potter’ ceramic dish and soap set by Frederick Warne. This boxed set, likely from the latter half of the 20th century, comprises a shallow, white ceramic dish and an oval bar of soap. Both items are sealed in clear plastic within their original cardboard packaging. The dish and soap feature color illustrations from “The Tale of Peter Rabbit” by Beatrix Potter, depicting Mrs. Rabbit with her children, accompanied by the printed quote ” ‘NOW, my dears,’ said old Mrs. Rabbit” and marked “FREDERICK WARNE & CO LTD.” The cardboard box is titled “THE WORLD OF BEATRIX POTTER™” and includes text stating “THE ILLUSTRATION IS DESIGNED TO LAST FOR THE LIFE OF THE SOAP” with its French translation.
