Another Great Auction 20th November
This lot comprises three vintage automotive publications. The primary item is an Austin Seven illustrated List of Spare Parts booklet, published by The Austin Motor Co. Ltd. of Longbridge, Birmingham, and originally priced at 2/6. This booklet features detailed exploded diagrams of parts, such as exhaust systems. Accompanying this are two instructional books from ‘PITMAN’S MOTORISTS’ LIBRARY’: ‘The Book of the RILEY’ by ROBSON and ‘The Book of the AUSTIN SEVEN AND EIGHT’ by ABBEY. Both Pitman’s books have light brown card covers, with ‘The Book of the AUSTIN SEVEN AND EIGHT’ distinguished by a red cloth spine. Internal pages of ‘The Book of the AUSTIN SEVEN AND EIGHT’ display black and white photographs of 1937/1938 car models and troubleshooting guides. All items are consistent with a mid-20th-century or earlier period.
