Buyer's premium:

A chromolithograph titled ‘ROSALIND’ from the Raphael Tuck & Sons ‘Connoisseur’ Series No. 2731, after the original painting by A. Asti (Paris Salon). The print depicts a bust-length portrait of a young woman with flowing dark hair, a red flower, and yellow drapery. It bears the facsimile signature ‘A. Asti’ in the lower right corner. The print is housed within a cream-colored mat and an ornate, gilded wood or gesso frame, reflecting a Late Victorian or Edwardian aesthetic. The reverse features an affixed Raphael Tuck & Sons postcard, which also notes it was ‘Chromographed in Berlin.’ The postcard is addressed to ‘Miss M. Crisp / 5 Eversley Rd / Small Heath / Birmingham’ and contains a handwritten birthday message from ‘Alice,’ accompanied by a British Penny stamp and a partial ’16 NOV’ postmark, indicating an early 20th-century period.
