Another Great Auction 20th November
A bottle of James Eadie’s Trade Mark ‘X’ Blended Scotch Whisky, presented with its original black cardboard presentation box. The clear glass bottle contains 70cl (700ml) of golden-amber liquid, sealed with a gold-colored foil cap. Both the bottle and box prominently display “JAMES EADIE’S,” “ESTABLISHED 1854,” “80° PROOF,” “45.6% vol,” “TRADE X MARK,” and “BLENDED SCOTCH WHISKY,” noting it is “BLENDED & BOTTLED IN SCOTLAND.” The bottle’s main label also features “1854,” “1877,” and “2017” under a “DISTILLING PERIOD” section, along with “Single Malt / Grain Whisky” and a signature appearing to be “J. H. Lutton.” The box design and text on the reverse elaborate on the brand’s history and product, including the phrase “uisce beatha,” which translates from Irish Gaelic as “water of life.”
