Another Great Auction 20th November
A diverse collection comprising a set of eight volumes of Charles Dickens novels, including “Martin Chuzzlewit,” “Oliver Twist,” “A Tale of Two Cities,” and “Bleak House,” presented in uniform dark red faux leather or cloth bindings with gilt lettering. Accompanying these is “The Pocket Oxford Dictionary” in a black binding. The collection also features larger volumes such as “Reader’s Digest Encyclopedia of Garden Plants and Flowers” and “Reader’s Digest Driver’s Handbook,” alongside other assorted publications including a book with a photographic cover. Also included is a group of framed artworks, some with gold-toned frames, one depicting a pastoral scene, and a tall canvas featuring a minimalist brown linear design. The items are housed within a blue plastic utility bin and arranged alongside other loose books. The Dickens set likely dates to the late 19th or early 20th century.
