Buyer's premium:

A vintage Dynatron C.H.8 portable record player, featuring a Garrard deck, dating from 1964. The unit’s identity is confirmed by an included guarantee card, dated August 1, 1964, which specifies the model as ‘C.H.8.’ and serial ‘8531’, originally sold by ‘Hickie & Hickie Ltd.’ in Gloucester. The player presents with a textured grey exterior casing, accented with dark trim and a light-colored speaker grille. When opened, it reveals a grey plastic turntable deck fitted with a white tone arm. A black record is currently situated on the platter, and a coiled power cable with a UK plug is present. The front panel features controls for ‘OFF VOLUME ON’, ‘TREBLE’, and ‘BASS’, alongside a red indicator light and ‘DYNATRON’ branding. The interior of the lid proudly displays a Royal Coat of Arms and the inscription ‘BY APPOINTMENT TO H.M. THE QUEEN SUPPLIERS OF TELEVISIONS AND RADIOGRAMOPHONES DYNATRON RADIO LIMITED’.
