Another Great Auction 20th November
A group of five vintage hand-painted wooden signs, consistent with fairground or carnival advertising, likely dating to the mid-20th century. Each sign is crafted from weathered wood planks and features distressed red and dark grey/black lettering. The lot includes signs with the text: “KID’S 2! RIDES” accompanied by a stylized, smiling black-eared mouse character; “HOLD TIGHT” with a smiling, white-capped sailor character; “WALTZER 2!”; “Coconut Shy”; and “Shooting Alley”. The aesthetic is characteristic of folk art or utilitarian commercial signage.
