Another Great Auction 20th November
A pair of vintage health lamps, likely dating to the mid-20th century. The first is a Barber ‘Health Master’ lamp, featuring a cream-yellow painted metal spherical body with chrome-plated internal reflectors and two light-colored cylindrical handles, resting on a matching base. It is accompanied by a red “DOIS IMPREGNATED FLANNEL Wear it where it hurts!” booklet with “Rheumatherapy” mentioned, a blue “Operating instructions” manual for a “BARBER COMBINED ULTRA-VIOLET AND INFRA-RED LUMINOUS HEAT HEALTH LAMP,” and a cardboard box lid marked “Another BARBER Health Lamp.” The second item is a Philips ‘Ultra Phil Health Lamp,’ characterized by a directional blue-gray painted metal head housing a Philips bulb marked “MADE IN HOLLAND,” mounted on a cream-colored weighted base. This lamp is presented with its original cardboard box, featuring a sun logo and the text “PHILIPS ULTRA PHIL HEALTH LAMP.”
