A Sony LBT-D108 Compact Hi-Fidelity Stereo System, a vintage modular stereo system typical of late 1980s to early 1990s consumer electronics design. The system comprises a stack of dark grey/black plastic and metal components, including an ‘AUTOMATIC STEREO TURNTABLE SYSTEM PS-LX300’, a ‘COMPACT DISC PLAYER CDP-M12’ (marked “HIGH DENSITY LINEAR CONVERTER – DIRECT DIGITAL SYNC”), a stereo tuner/amplifier, a stereo graphic equalizer (model LRT-X900R), and a stereo double cassette deck featuring ‘AUTO REVERSE’ functionality. The system is accompanied by one large ‘SONY’ branded speaker with a black fabric grille, and a separate black faux-leather or textured plastic-covered case with a tan handle. All primary electronic components are clearly marked ‘SONY’. Interconnecting wires and a UK-style 3-pin plug are present.
