A Murphy A272C vintage console radio receiver, constructed from polished dark brown wood, featuring a rectangular cabinet with a sloped top control panel and a circular speaker grille on the front. The control panel, marked “V.H.F.-F.M.”, “LONG”, and “MEDIUM”, displays tuning scales with frequency numbers (e.g., 100-88 for VHF-FM, 1200-1600 for Long/Medium wave) and numerous European city/station names, including “KALUNDBORG”, “LÜTTICH” (Liège), “STRASBOURG II”, “TROMSO”, “N. IRELAND”, “BBC EUROPEAN”, “LUXEMBOURG”, “PARIS”, “ROME I”, and “MILAN”, along with controls labeled “OFF-TONE”, “VOLUME”, “WAVECHANGE”, and “TUNING”. A coiled, braided fabric-covered power cord is visible.
