Another Great Auction 20th November
A ‘Flaming Mane’ horse head sculpture by James Spratt for Austin Productions, dated 1978. Constructed from chalk with a dark, reddish-brown patinated finish. The bust depicts a horse’s head and neck in a dynamic and realistic style with a flowing mane. An impressed inscription, partially decipherable as “FRANK…” followed by unclear characters, is visible on the proper left side of the base. A white rectangular sticker bearing the number “370” is affixed to the front lower section.
