Another Great Auction 20th November
A group of five resin decorative picture frames from “THE WORLD OF BEATRIX POTTER™ Studio,” likely manufactured by Border Fine Arts and bearing a 2001 Frederick Warne & Co. copyright. These frames are often associated with the Charpente brand in the market. Each frame features hand-painted, whimsical depictions of characters from Beatrix Potter’s stories, specifically identified by visible text as “Hunka Munca” (on two distinct frames), “Mrs. Tiggy-winkle,” “Benjamin Bunny,” and “The Toilor of Gloucester” (a misspelling of “Tailor”). The frames vary in size and orientation, with the two larger examples containing printed Beatrix Potter inserts, while the three smaller frames are without glass.
