Another Great Auction 20th November
A group of three Beatrix Potter ceramic picture frames by Schmid, dated 1992. Each frame is crafted from glazed ceramic or porcelain, featuring a whimsical, illustrative style centered around characters from Beatrix Potter stories. The first frame is house-shaped, depicting “Tabitha Twitchit & Tom Kitten” with floral accents. The reverse bears the markings “Beatrix Potter ‘Tabitha Twitchit & Tom Kitten’ ©1992 F.W. & Co., Licensed by Copyrights New York, London,” and a “Schmid MALAYSIA” sticker. The second frame is round, encircled by eight distinct Beatrix Potter characters, including “Jemima Puddle-Duck,” “Benjamin Bunny,” “Mr. Jeremy Fisher,” “Peter Rabbit,” “Squirrel Nutkin,” “Tom Kitten,” and “Flopsy Bunnies,” each identified by accompanying text. The third frame is window-shaped, featuring “Mr. Jeremy Fisher” reading a book on a windowsill, adorned with foliage and yellow flowers.
