This collection features assorted military badges, predominantly appearing as cap badges or regimental insignia, crafted from a mix of metals including brass, bronze, and white metal, with some items displaying gilt or silvered finishes. The designs are characteristic of British military emblems, incorporating crowned monograms (such as ‘GR’), wreaths, animals (like a wildcat or stag), a harp, a hunting horn, and various scrolls. Visible inscriptions include “SANS PEUR” (French for “Without Fear”), “SOUTH STAFFORDSHIRE”, “ROYAL QUEENS”, “SHERWOOD FORESTERS”, “NOTTS & DERBY”, and “QUIS SEPARABIT” (Latin for “Who shall separate us?”). The badges appear to be from the early to mid-20th century.
