Another Great Auction 11th December
A collection of ten British military cap badges or insignia, predominantly from the 20th century. These items display traditional heraldic designs and are crafted from various metals, including brass, bronze-toned alloys, silver-toned alloys, and some bi-metal constructions. Visible markings identify several specific units or corps, such as “ROYAL ENGINEERS” (with a “GR” monogram for George Rex), “ROYAL ARMY ORDNANCE CORPS”, “ROYAL HAMPSHIRE”, “SOUTH STAFFORDSHIRE”, “ARMY CATERING CORPS”, “CORNWALL”, and “VOLUNTEERS” (with an “ER” monogram for Edward Rex/Elizabeth Regina). Two badges also feature Latin mottos: “HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE” and “LABOR OMNIA VINCIT”.
