Buyer's premium:

A collection of ten distinct British military cap badges, predominantly crafted from bi-metal alloys of brass/bronze and white metal. The group includes a “South Lancashire Regiment Prince of Wales Volunteers” badge, featuring the Prince of Wales’s feathers and “ICH DIEN” motto, which is consistent with market consensus. Further examples include an “EAST LANCASHIRE” Regiment badge with an “EGYPT” honour, “THE WELCH” badge also incorporating the Prince of Wales’s feathers and “ICH DIEN” motto, and an “8 KINGS ROYAL IRISH HUSSARS” badge depicting a harp. Also present are a stag’s head badge inscribed “CUIDICH’N RIGH” (Aid the King), “THE DEVONSHIRE REGIMENT” with a castle, and a cannon motif with the Latin mottos “UBIQUE” (Everywhere) and “QUO FAS ET GLORIA DUCUNT” (Where right and glory lead). Two “ROYAL ENGINEERS” badges are included, distinguished by “GR” (George Rex) and “ER” (Elizabeth Regina) monograms, both encircled by “HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE” (Shame on him who thinks evil of it).
