A collection comprising eleven varied metal military insignia badges and one embroidered fabric patch. The metal items are crafted from materials including brass, copper alloy, silvered, and blackened metals. Designs feature prominent crowns, flaming grenades, regimental crests, and cyphers including ‘GR’ (George Rex) and ‘ER’ (Elizabeth Regina). Among the collection are badges for ‘ROYAL ENGINEERS’, including examples with ‘GR’ and ‘ER’ cyphers, consistent with Royal Engineers and Royal Australian Engineers insignia identified in web research. Other textual elements include unit names such as ‘CHESHIRE’, ‘LANCERS’, and ‘WESTERN’. Latin mottoes ‘Honi soit qui mal y pense’ and ‘Merebimur’ are visible. One silvered badge prominently displays intertwined ‘VC’ initials surmounted by a crown, while a bronze example features Roman numerals ‘XIX’. The single fabric patch is diamond-shaped, bicolour in yellow and dark blue with a dark green border, consistent with Royal Australian Engineers Army Patches found in research.
