A collection of four Scottish grouse foot broochesr, accompanied by a single horn leaf brooch. Each of the four grouse foot brooches features a preserved animal paw fitted with a unique metal mount. These mounts, consistent with sterling silver, are crafted from silver-tone or gold-tone metals and are variously embellished with faceted glass or semi-precious gemstones in shades of amber, dark red, and purple. Decorative motifs include foliage, a stylized thistle, and a bow with a bell. Pin mechanisms are visible on the reverse of these pieces. The fifth item is an elongated leaf-shaped brooch, carved or molded from a translucent variegated brown organic material, consistent with horn, showcasing detailed veins.
