Another Great Auction 11th December
A collection of numerous early 20th-century printed paper postcards, predominantly featuring humorous and often suggestive caricatural illustrations. The subjects vary, including bathing beauties, domestic scenes, couples in romantic or comedic situations, and occupational themes such as tailors and railway stations, with several cards making reference to “Oldham.” Visible text includes phrases such as “What is your speed limit?”, “TAILORS. GREAT REDUCTION IN MEN’S TROUSERS COMING DOWN TO 3/6 PER PAIR!”, “Cupid’s Matches,” and “EE By Gum its the first time ah’ve wet my sen so much for years,” indicating a British origin and pre-decimal currency.
