A Thai carved wooden Buddha mask, depicting the head of a Buddha figure, executed in a style evocative of Southeast Asian art. The piece features a dark, textured base material, extensively adorned with applied gold leaf or gilding, creating a distressed or patinated effect. The ushnisha and a distinct crown-like headband are also gilded and further embellished with small, colorful cabochon-style “gems” in green, red, and white/clear. The figure exhibits closed, serene eyes and a gentle smile. No visible text or markings are present.
