Another Great Auction 11th December
A glazed porcelain figural soap dish, depicting a pastoral scene. The figurine group features a standing woman in a red dress and white apron holding a basket, flanked by two children, one holding flowers and the other a basket of purple items, accompanied by a small brown and white dog, all on a green grassy base. This group is affixed to an off-white, rectangular tray with multiple indented channels and an ornate, scrolled border detailed with gold and purplish-red accents. A prominent oval cartouche on the front of the tray reads “Yardley English Lavender,” indicating its use as a promotional item for the English fragrance brand.
