Another Great Auction 11th December
A Royal Doulton ‘Snowman’ Limited Edition Character Jug, model D7058. This hand-decorated ceramic figural mug or miniature jug is shaped like a snowman wearing a red top hat and a green and white striped scarf, with a holly sprig forming the handle, executed in a whimsical, festive style. The base is extensively marked with the Royal Doulton crown and lion trademark, “ROYAL DOULTON SNOWMAN,” model number “D7058,” “PRODUCED IN A SPECIAL EDITION OF 2,000,” and “© 1997 ROYAL DOULTON.” Further visible text on the base includes “Sinclairs China, Crystal & Luxuries,” a handwritten “1414,” and an “INSPECTED BY S. Pinkerton” sticker. The item is accompanied by its original dark blue Royal Doulton box, which also bears text including “Fabriqué en Angleterre.”
