Another Great Auction 11th December
An English fine bone china figurine by Coalport, depicting “Fair Isabel.” The standing female figure wears a flowing, floor-length gown in pale pink and white, adorned with three sculpted pink roses on the bodice. Her long, light brown hair is styled in a braid over one shoulder, and she holds folds of her dress in each hand. The base is marked “COALPORT ® EST. 1750” with its crown logo, “Sculpted by A. Gribley,” and “© Compton & Woodhouse® CW 561.” Further text specifies it is “An English fine bone china figure, issued in a strictly limited edition of 7,500, of which this is number 2/75.” A small handwritten mark, possibly “A/2,” is also present on the underside.
