A Sterling Silver Celtic Knot Pendant Necklace by The Birmingham Mint, dated 1981. The round pendant features an intricate central knotted foliate design, commonly associated with Celtic motifs, surrounded by stylized characters on one side. The reverse depicts two intertwined doves with ropes or branches. The pendant is hallmarked ‘BM’ (maker’s mark for The Birmingham Mint), with an anchor (Birmingham Assay Office), a lion passant (confirming sterling silver), and the date letter ‘G’ for 1981. It is presented in its original hinged, brown velvet-lined box, marked ‘THE BIRMINGHAM MINT’ and featuring a ship/scale logo.
