Another Great Auction 11th December
A group of three military insignia. The first is identified as a Surrey Yeomanry Original British Army Cap Badge, likely dating from WWII, crafted from bronze-toned metal, featuring a flying bird superimposed on a laurel wreath, surmounted by a crown, with a skull at its base. The second is identified as a British Royal Army Ordnance Corps cap badge, likely dating from 1947-1949, made of gold-toned metal, depicting a winged gear or propeller, mounted on a black rectangular felt backing. The third is identified as a Belgian 12th Infantry Regiment beret badge, a gold-toned metal crest featuring the number “12,” a torch, and laurel wreaths, surmounting a crown and banner that reads “A l’Avant Garde” (To the Vanguard / In the Vanguard), affixed to a red shield-shaped felt backing.
