Another Great Auction 11th December
A group of three polychrome painted religious statues, likely crafted from plaster or a composite material. The leftmost figure depicts the Sacred Heart of Mary, shown veiled in white, with a pink tunic and blue cloak, and a flaming Sacred Heart emblem on her chest. The central figure is a bearded male saint, possibly Saint Jude Thaddeus, with a golden halo, wearing green and red robes, holding an open book and a burning torch or lamp. The rightmost figure represents a bearded male friar, consistent with depictions of Saint Francis of Assisi, dressed in a dark brown habit with a rosary hanging from his waist, standing on a rectangular base.
Tallest figure measures 13 inches (33 cm).
