A vintage Japanese Mid-20th Century Modernist or Space Age style oval-shaped wall clock. It features a prominent black frame, likely plastic or bakelite, surrounding a light-toned wood or wood veneer face with a striking linear grain pattern. The clock face is protected by a clear glass cover, behind which are silver-tone metal hands, a mix of stud and rectangular hour markers, and a stylized logo resembling a ‘Z’ at the 12 o’clock position. A rectangular plaque below the center spindle prominently displays the English word “TRANSISTOR.” The lower portion of the clock features a decorative black panel, likely matching the frame material, embellished with a pattern of four interlinked rings.
