Another Great Auction 11th December
A Rörstrand ‘Chrysanthemum’ ceramic wall plate or shallow dish, featuring an irregularly shaped form. The central decoration depicts three stylized multi-petaled yellow and white flowers surrounded by dark green leaves, set against a variegated light green and beige ground. The piece is finished with an undulating, dark brown rim. The reverse is dark glazed and fitted with three conical feet, through which a black cord is strung for hanging. An impressed mark on the underside reads “RÖRSTRAND” with a crown emblem, and “SWEDEN” below, indicating its origin. The item exhibits a handcrafted aesthetic, characteristic of the mid-20th century.
