Another Great Auction 11th December
A diverse collection of primarily mid-20th century ephemera, books, and photographs, with materials in both English and French. The lot includes several hardcover books such as “Guy Burgess A Portrait with Background,” “Men of Destiny Churchill Roosevelt Stalin Hitler,” and “The Short One On The Right.” Also present are softcover pamphlets including “Ward Lock & Co’s LONDON ILLUSTRATED GUIDE-BOOKS,” “The Kendal Penny Bakery Book,” and a “21 Group, ROYAL AIR FORCE INTER-STATION ATHLETIC CHAMPIONSHIPS 1948” program. Paper items feature newspaper clippings from “L’Aube” and “Daily” publications, with one French article discussing “Pierre Viénot M. Pierre Viénot AMBASSADEUR DE FRANCE, est mort hier… A LONDRES.” A “NUTTALL’S MINTOES” wrapper (11 d. Qtr.) is also included. The collection contains several black and white photographs depicting aerial views, street scenes with architectural landmarks, and group portraits, alongside a handwritten note outlining a London sightseeing itinerary.
