Another Great Auction 11th December
A bottle of James Eadie’s Trade Mark ‘X’ Blended Scotch Whisky and its accompanying black cardboard presentation box. The clear glass bottle, with a gold-colored screw cap, contains an amber-hued liquid. The label features prominent gold branding including ‘JAMES EADIE’S’, ‘ESTABLISHED 1854’, ‘TRADE MARK’ with a large ‘X’, ‘BLENDED SCOTCH WHISKY’, ’80° PROOF’, ‘45.6% vol.’, and ’70cl e / 700ml’. Dates ‘Established 1854’, ‘Registered 1877’, and ‘Revived 2017’ with ‘Norman Mathison’ are printed, along with a reproduced signature ‘V. H. Mathison’. The black cardboard box replicates much of the bottle’s labeling and includes a quote attributed to ‘ALFRED BARNARD. 1889.’ and a ‘JE’ monogram on its top flap.
