Another Great Auction 11th December
A bottle of James Eadie’s Trade Mark ‘X’ Blended Scotch Whisky, presented with its original, dark cardboard presentation box. The clear glass bottle contains a full measure of amber-colored liquid and is sealed with a gold-toned cap displaying ‘JAMES EADIE LTD.’ Both the bottle and box prominently feature ‘JAMES EADIE’S ESTABLISHED 1854,’ a large ‘X’ trade mark, ’80° PROOF,’ ‘45.6% vol.,’ and ’70cl e / 700ml.’ The bottle label further specifies ‘Established 1854,’ ‘Registered 1877,’ and ‘Revived 2017,’ along with the signature ‘N. H. Mathieson, Master Blender,’ and the name ‘Norman Mathison.’ The box includes an historical quote mentioning ‘a wee drappie’ of the blend.
