Another Great Auction 11th December
A bottle of James Eadie’s Trade Mark X Blended Scotch Whisky, presented in a clear glass bottle containing an amber liquid, and accompanied by its original black presentation box. The bottle features a gold-foiled neck and a prominent label. Both the bottle and box display significant gold lettering for ‘JAMES EADIE’S’, ‘ESTABLISHED 1854’, ‘BLENDED SCOTCH WHISKY’, ’80º PROOF’, and ‘45.6% vol.’, accompanied by a large ‘X’ trade mark. Further text includes ‘BLENDED & BOTTLED IN SCOTLAND’, ’70cl e’ (on the bottle) and ‘700ml’ (on the box), and a historical quote from Alfred Barnard, 1885. Visible dates on the label denote ‘Established 1854’, ‘Registered 1877’, and ‘Revived 2017’, with a signature (N. H. Mathieson) and the name ‘Norman Mathison’.
