This small, rectangular hinged box, approximately 4 inches in length, is crafted from multiple materials. The exterior features enameled panels set within ornate, aged silver-tone metal mounts and bands. The lid depicts a vibrant, polychrome scene of traditional figures, possibly engaged in textile work, against a green background. The box’s sides display continuous floral patterns in red, blue, and green. The interior contains a removable white ceramic or porcelain insert with a blue underglaze figurative design centered within a cartouche. The bottom of the box is a green enameled or ceramic surface and bears a red square seal mark, which translates to “Made in the Great Qing Qianlong reign” (大清乾隆年製).
