Another Great Auction 11th December
A pair of handmade ceramic vessels, indicative of studio pottery. The first is a conical, footed bowl or wide cup, featuring an off-white crackled glaze adorned with a stylized, hand-drawn depiction of an animal’s head, likely a horse or deer, rendered in brown and yellow tones. Its unglazed, terracotta-colored base bears an illegible handwritten signature, possibly “Tegum” or “Legum”. The second item is a cylindrical mug or cup, unhandled, displaying a textured, multi-tonal drip glaze in earthy shades of brown, green, and ochre, with a distinct abstract circular mark on its side.
