Another Great Auction 11th December
A Matthew Norman brass and glass carriage clock, crafted in a traditional rectangular style. The white dial features Roman numeral hour markers and is signed “MATTHEW NORMAN” and “SWISS MADE” below a small logo. The top panel provides a clear view of the clock’s escapement mechanism. The reverse side is fitted with a hinged door, revealing the winding and setting mechanisms, which are further marked “Matthew Norman Switzerland”. Affixed to the back is an engraved plaque reading “BRIAN TOWNEND”, “‘Happy Retirement'”, “J. Wharton (Shipping)”, “Ltd.”, and dated “4-10-1991”.
