A group of three distinct figurative sculptures. The primary piece is a French sculpture depicting a standing woman in classical or genre attire, holding what appears to be a stringed instrument, mounted on a dark, stepped base. This figure aligns with known examples of French Orientalist bronzes, some attributed to artists such as Marcel Debut or Jean Didier Debut, often depicting figures like ‘The Tunisian Water Carrier’. Also included is a dark carved wood figurine portraying a crouching East Asian figure with a braided queue, holding a basket or woven vessel, exhibiting a smooth, polished surface. The third item is a metal bust styled after Queen Nefertiti, featuring a coppery-bronze tone, mounted on a polished, variegated yellow and orange stone base, likely onyx or marble.
