Another Great Auction 11th December
A collection of assorted tableware. Comprising a ceramic ‘cottage ware’ sugar or creamer pot, hand-painted with a thatched cottage design, bearing the impressed mark “Beswick Ware, MADE IN ENGLAND” and “245,” along with a penciled “3/-” (three shillings) price mark. Accompanying this is a small, round, silver-colored metal tray with a scalloped and pierced rim. Another prominent item is a large, circular pressed or cut glass serving bowl with a diamond pattern and a domed lid, sitting on a gilt-metal tray with handles and accompanied by two small silver-colored spoons. Also present is a cased set of six small fruit or butter knives, featuring silver-colored blades and amber-toned handles, housed in a dark exterior case with a velvet and satin-lined interior. Finally, there is a rectangular, silver-colored metal tray with an ornate embossed pattern and a central folding handle.
