A pair of Thai Burmese Kalaga tapestry wall hangings, each crafted from a deep red, velvet-like fabric. Both are extensively embellished with gold-toned embroidery, metallic threads, small white and metallic beads, and various sequins. The central and surrounding elephant figures are particularly detailed, utilizing heavy beading and sequins to create a textured, raised effect. The larger hanging includes an additional gold-brown fabric border and integrated hanging loops at the top. No manufacturer’s marks or discernible text are visible.
