Another Great Auction 11th December
A 19th Century Desvres French Faience figural pig sculpture, crafted from polychrome ceramic earthenware. The piece features a white glazed body with hand-painted decoration, including scattered blue dots, multi-colored floral motifs in orange, yellow, and green, and blue striped patterns on the snout and ears. It is fitted with dark, possibly glass, eyes. The unglazed reddish-brown base bears the blue script markings ’22’ and ‘ROUEN’.
