A modern studio pottery plate or shallow dish by Eric James Mellon, dated 1998. Crafted from ceramic, it features an unglazed, textured light beige exterior and rim. The glazed interior displays concentric rings of deep blue and beige, with a swirling dark brown or black design at the center, creating an abstract, modernist aesthetic. The underside is inscribed in black ink with “eric james Mellon,” “1998,” a distinctive symbol, “Apple Ash A/N,” and a stylized insect or dragonfly motif.
