A Chinese polychrome ‘rice grain’ porcelain saucer, featuring East Asian style decoration. The interior is adorned with underglaze blue, iron red, green, and extensive gold gilt, depicting a central stylized floral motif surrounded by a band of further floral designs and a blue-and-white patterned rim. The exterior is decorated with scattered underglaze blue leaf-like motifs. The base bears a blue underglaze four-character mark within the footring, which translates to ‘Tianqi’ (天啓), referring to the Ming Dynasty reign (1621-1627).
