Another Great Auction 11th December
A pair of Original British Military aluminium mess tins. These utilitarian rectangular metal containers are crafted from aluminium or a similar lightweight alloy, consistent with mid-20th century military or camping equipment. The upper container’s hinged bail handle attachment bracket bears a visible ‘1953’ date, along with the markings ‘N S C’ and ‘C.N. 1S 76’, and additional partially obscured text possibly reading ‘S.P.R.G.’. The lower container features a similar bracket with partially legible markings including ‘VAN’ and ‘A 5886’.
