Another Great Auction 11th December
A group of four vintage industrial and automotive components. Comprising two heavy brass hexagonal caps or plugs, identified by web intelligence as vintage brass carriage wheel nuts or cart hub caps. One cap is inscribed “G. SCROWSTON,” “BUILDER,” and “LEVEN.” The second brass cap bears the markings “WORKS FALLS,” “FORGE CO,” and “LEEDS,” and is specifically identified as a brass cart hub cap for Kirkstall Forge Company. Also included is a silver-colored metal valve mechanism, likely cast aluminum or a similar alloy, featuring threaded connections and clearly marked “SPEEDVALVE,” “OPEN” with an arrow, “SAUNDERS,” “PAT. 411516,” “EDWARDS,” and “ENGLAND.” The fourth item is a silver-toned metal cap or plug, possibly steel or aluminum, characterized by a prominent flathead-style slot on its top surface and a knurled section visible on its side.
