Another Great Auction 11th December
A mid-20th century RAF Circuit Tester Kit, Type B, 5G/310, dated 1956, as identified by web intelligence. The kit is housed in a rectangular, grey-green painted wooden box with a hinged lid, a leather strap handle, and a rusted metal clasp embossed “CHENEY ENGLAND”. The box’s exterior lid is stenciled “5G / 310”, while the interior lid features “5G / 192” and “CONT. A 245524/5G/C. 12(A) 1956”. Inside, a felt-lined fitted interior contains eight brown paper or leather-wrapped components, a central silver-colored metal item, and a clear glass bulb with a black base marked “5G/308 A”. A paper hang tag on the side identifies the item as “5G / 310 TESTER CIRCUIT R Volt. Type B. P.B. Quantity 1”.
